IDEAS AND INSPIRATION FOR 21st CENTURY TEACHERS
When an interviewer asked Sir David Attenborough “How many years have you been working?”. His response was “I haven’t worked a day in my life”.
I believe if you truly love your chosen career, it will start feeling more like an enjoyable hobby than “work”. This is why I’m a teacher!
I was born and raised on the little (but great) island of Cyprus as a “Greek Cypriot”. However, I am in interesting concoction of Danish, Greek, English and Irish. I started my career in Public Relations working on numerous accounts specialising in Search Engine Optimisation and Social Media Communications. After 2 years, I decided to turn to teaching as I enjoyed volunteering at local schools during my days off. With a strong background in technology and ICT, I quickly found my path in education. I am now a advocate for ICT in the classroom and strive to provide an up-to-date teaching and learning programme.

I love my job. I love being a teacher. I believe that my experiences as both a student and teacher have helped me develop a philosophy about learning that has, as its basis, a strong belief that we are all lifelong learners and need to engage students in meaningful tasks. I believe that it is important to understand students' prior knowledge and by differentiation of the task, create a challenging and supportive environment for all learners.
